These winter months have got me dreaming of the warm, rainy days of Spring! Spring, of course, is the perfect time for picnics, which is why I love this luxury picnic engagement session designed by Solely Designs.
This engagement session was one of three that were held at Cross Iron Cottage.
The way these winners were chosen was based on their stories and what they meant to each other.

What is a Luxury Picnic?
Luxury picnics vary in style, but in general, are designed picnics with a theme.
They are great to have when hosting bachelorette parties, maternity sessions, rehearsal dinners, elopements, or in this case, engagement photos.
The styles and themes are endless, and it is best incorporated when hiring a professional to host one for you!
Where are the best picnic locations?
There are no rules as to where your picnic can be! If you can dream it, it most certainly can be done.
Luxury picnics have been known to be hosted by the ocean, on top of mountains, or just in beautiful fields.
One thing to note is some areas may not allow for picnics or require a permit to host one there. So be sure to check for any rules that may be associated with the location. (Ok, so there may be one rule…)
In the case of Harley and Hayden’s engagement session, it was hosted in the large fields by the English Cottage at Cross Iron Cottage.
What is included in a luxury picnic?
What is included is dependent on the event provider.
While some may have collections that provide catering, others may only include the picnic setup.
If a full spread is not covered, ask if they have any partnerships with other food providers!
