This Pinnacle Mountain engagement in Maumelle, Arkansas is one of my favorite engagements of 2020.
Particularly, because it was my first photo shoot to get back to once people started feeling comfortable to meet again!
I want to give a huge thank you to these two as they are both in the medical field with Sydney being a nurse and John getting ready to start his residency.
While the past year has not been easy, it has been refreshing to see a renewed appreciation for medical personnel.
Pinnacle Mountain Engagement
Meeting John and Sydney
This summer Pinnacle Mountain engagement first began when John and Sydney reached out to me about their engagement session.
We met on Zoom for the first time and took time getting to know each other!
When talking about their engagement session, we discussed what meant the most to them for their engagement session.
It came down to two things: they wanted to be at Pinnacle Mountain, and they wanted to focus on how they feel about each other.
In preparation for the engagement session, Sydney went to my friends over at Salon L where they styled her hair to last the Arkansas summer humidity!
It was a cloudy day, but because we were meeting at what normally would have been high-sun time, this worked out perfectly for us!
What I love about shooting in on a cloudy day is that every photo comes out perfect!
It also allows for a further field of view, which is perfect for sessions with overlook locations and at parks like Pinnacle Mountain.
Throughout the session and through conversation, I learned that John does Jiu-Jitsu.
Naturally, we took some inspiration from this and Sydney had the opportunity to grapple him into submission!
In a cute way, of course.
