When I first moved to Arkansas from Nashville, TN, I had no idea I would live near one of the most visited parks in Central Arkansas! That said, I don’t mind visiting the Two Rivers Park in North Little Rock. Especially with this amazing summer engagement session by the Arkansas River with Alisa and DJ!

About the Couple
Alisa and DJ met like many couples do – through dating apps!
Specifically, they met through a Christian dating app where they immediately hit it off. Both with a profound love for their church and being involved in the ministry, the two of them have set out to make a life that honors God and each other.
Of course, whenever the two of them aren’t serving their church or community, you’ll likely find them enjoying coffee.
When we met at Two Rivers Park for their engagement session, we started immediately by crossing the bridge.
Like many engagement sessions, we took this into two parts. Informal and formal.
Typically, I do formal portraits first since you are fresh then. However, we swapped things around because we were waiting for the sun to lower behind the mountain.
During this time, we explored walking by the trees and exploring the paths around.
I love the beginning portion of any shoot because it’s an opportunity to learn how the couple interacts with each other.
Some are shy and reserved, and are not fond of public displays of affection.
Others are fully into it and want to give all the kisses in the world.
Then there is Alisa and DJ – two people who fall perfectly in the middle. They don’t have the need to lay it out for all to see, but they’re more than happy to show their affection.
One thing I’m excited for these two is that they’re getting married at one of the coolest Central Arkansas wedding venues, which is the Brick Room in Conway.
It’s the perfect spot for them with it’s exposed brick and industrial look.
